Brazil: pro-coup acts of January 8, 225 more rioters indicted
Brazil’s Attorney General's Office (PGR) denounced Monday (Jan. 30) to the Supreme Court another 225 people under investigation for participating in the anti-democratic acts of January 8. This is the sixth time the prosecutor's office has filed indictments, which now total 479 people indicted.Accused of criminal association and incitement to animosity of the Armed Forces against the Three Powers (Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary), the indicted were arrested at the campsite in front of the Army Headquarters, in Brasilia, and are now being held in units of the Federal District's prison system.According to the coordinator of the Strategic Group for Combating Anti-Democratic Acts, assistant attorney general Carlos Frederico Santos, the campsite had "evident structure to guarantee pere...
