Manioc flour produced in Acre state boasts geographical indication tag
The city of Cruzeiro do Sul, in the state of Acre, northern Brazil, near the national border with Peru, had rubber extraction as its main economic activity until the beginning of the 20th century. Today, income is brought to local communities by manioc flour.
