Streaming accounts for 99% of revenues in Brazil’s music market
Brazil’s music market reported revenues of BRL 1.2 billion in the first half of 2023, considering digital and physical formats only. The surge reached 12.6 percent from the same period last year. The figures were released by Pro-Música, the organization that represents the main record labels and producers in the country.Streaming, with revenues of BRL 1.181 billion, was the top driver behind the market’s expansion, accounting for 99.2 percent of the total.
